I believe we need to make quality investments to fix our transportation issues. We need to think not only for today, but for the next 50 years. Transportation improvements and protecting our environment are interrelated in that intelligent transportation solutions will help reduce emissions and improve air quality. I promote commonsense investments to increase access to mass transportation. We need to work with all stakeholders to be forward-thinking in addressing our transportation challenges. We need a better methodology to adequately fund the Colorado Department of Transportation so we can make investments to create a more efficient transportation system across the state.
